Debora Chan, MD, FACOG was born in Turkey in 1962, and emigrated to the United States at the age of two. She completed medical school in 1987 at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, transitional internship at Baptist Medical Centers in Birmingham, and then OB/GYN internship at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
She completed residency training at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, and subsequently has served as Chief of GYN services at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, worked for the Australian National Health Service in Tasmania, Indian Health Service in Tuba City and Santa Fe, and joined Blue Skies Center for Women in 1999.
Her current scope of practice is limited to GYN, including the women’s health maintenance, treatment of fibroids, abnormal bleeding, and hormone replacement therapy, including the placement of hormonal pellets, as well as the treatment of abnormal PAP smears, and the evaluation of ovarian problems.
Interests outside her medical career include international volunteer activities in biodiversity studies, and an interest in fabrics/textiles.
